Now they may be truth to me.... But don't think that makes them mine.....Because you can't own truth. 1, LIFE IS NOT EASY....Do not fall into the trap, the entitlement trap of feeling like you're a victim. You are not. Get over it and get on with it. 2. UNBELIEVABLE IS THE STUPIDEST WORD IN THE DICTIONARY....Give others and yourself more credit. It just happened. You witnessed it. You just did it. Believe it. 3. Joy vs Happiness...Happiness is an emotional response to an outcome. If I win, I will be happy. If I don't, I won't. If happiness is what you are after then you're going to be let down frequently and you are going to be unhappy much of your time. Joy is a different thing. It's something else. Joy is not a choice. It's not a response to some result, it's a constant. Jo...

GrandMa’s Wisdom

Uncategorized
In difficult times, you move forward in small steps. Do what you have to do, but little by little. Don't think about the future, or what may happen tomorrow. Wash the dishes. Remove the dust. Write a letter. Make a soup. You see? You are advancing step by step. Take a step and stop. Rest a little. Praise yourself. Take another step. Then another. You won't notice, but your steps will grow more and more. And the time will come when you can think about the future without crying.- Elena Mikhalkova(Image of Tasha Tudor, American Illustrator 1915-2008)

Numbers Never Lie

Uncategorized
2021 is a 5 year. How do we get this number, simply by adding 2+2+1=5 A five year is all about self responsibility. The more we are disciplined to have self responsibility the more FREEDOM we achieve. This coming year will see many of us hunkering down and working on ourselves in major ways. Often I have spoken about the "two" worlds that exist. Our personal world and the world that we have very little control over, that is the world that those who are in power do all their schemes and power plays. I taught my children this when they were small. Stretch your arms out....this is your private space, no one enters this space without your permission. I taught them to set their boundaries within this space. Even today, as they are both grown adults I do not enter their space without...

Christmas Fun Facts

Uncategorized
Why Is Christmas Day on December 25? Although the exact date of Christ's birth is unknown, Christmas Day has been symbolically celebrated on the 25th of December since the 4th century. The word Christmas comes from "Christ's Mass" We do know that the oldest existing record of a feast to celebrate the birth of Christ is in the Roman almanac called the Chronographer of 354 or the Philocalian Calendar. This ancient almanac noted that a festival commemorating Christ's birth was observed by the church in Rome in the year 336. Cronographers of the third century were the ones who reckoned December 25, around the winter solstice, as the most likely day of Christ's birth. In ancient times, Celts divided the year into four sections marked by "quarter days" the days of the two solstices ...

Indian Summer

Uncategorized
3. The time of occurrence is important: The warm days must follow a spell of cold weather or a good hard frost. 4. The conditions described above also must occur between St. Martin's Day (November 11) and November 20. For over 200 years, The Old Farmers Almanac has adhered to the saying, "If All Saints' (November 1) brings out the winter, St. Martin's brings out Indian Summer." Why Is It Called an Indian Summer? There are many theories. Some say it comes from the early Algonquian Native Americans, who believed that the condition was caused by a warm wind sent from the court of their southwestern God, Cautantowwit. The most probably origin of the term, in our view, goes back to the very early settlers in New England. Each year they would welcome the arrival of a cold wintry wea...

Castor Oil for skin, hair, feet and more…..

Uncategorized
I have told my clients for 30 plus years, castor oil packs for constipation works like a miracle cure. Simply heat some organic grade castor oil till its warm to the skin and apply to the abdominal area, put a wet, not sopping, flannel piece of cloth over the area. I use to cover the flannel a plastic bag cut so you have only one side, then place a heating pad over the area and set a timer....45 minutes and within 20 you will probably be in lala land. The oil will penetrate into the colon and help to move the product out as it relaxes the muscles. Here are even more wonders of castor oil Although fairly common, castor oil is not generally as well known as say olive oil. High in vitamin E, minerals, proteins and even beneficial fatty acids, castor oil is great for both your sink and...
