Time In Nature

Uncategorized, Viable Options Blog
"If you have to start with opening a window....that's OK." by Dr. Robert Zarr TEN MINUTES: of gardening or a weekly visit to a public garden can alleviate depression TWENTY MINUTES: spent hiking among trees, bird-watching or pursuing other activities in nature reduces cortisol, the stress hormone. THIRTY MINUTES: of sitting or walking in a park setting can lower blood pressure and heart rate. FORTY-FIVE MINUTES: or more of hiking in the mountains results in less fatigue and higher alertness than the same amount of time spent indoors on a treadmill. SIXTY MINUTES: spent interacting with nature, such as walking in urban parks or on tree-lined streets, can boost memory and attention span by 20%

Natural Immunity…..Public Health’s Forgotten Ally…

Researchers continue to grapple with questions over value of vaccines versus natural immunity. (Our greatest gift from our Creator besides our intuition is our immune system. Building your immune system has always been priority since this COVID started last year. ) In the United States, everyone, 16 years of age and older, is now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. HealthCare.gov, the agency behind the Affordable Care Act, recently sent out an email announcing the “good news.” They said the new shot was “an important tool to help end the pandemic, and it’s your best protection from getting COVID-19.” But is it really the best? An alternative form of immune security hardly gets any attention, but it may have benefits that any one of the COVID shots now available under emergen...

Spring Is Coming

Viable Options Blog
Our systems have their own maintenance schedules and when we allow our bodies to run these scheduled cleanses our body rewards us with good health. Most people when Spring comes along starts sneezing, followed by watery eyes, trouble sometimes breathing. They reach for the over the counter remedies such as Claritin or they go for the more potent ones delivered in prescription form. What would you say if you could alleviate most of this discomfort when Springtime arrives with just a few, well maybe more than a few adjustments during the winter months. Just like our homes we Spring clean it, so our bodies do this also, in the form of colds, watery eyes, etc., which are releases. Hayfever is a cleaning of our body....believe it or don't. What we have ingested throughout the wi...

Domestic Vibrations

Viable Options Blog
One of the most interesting and often requested applications of numerology is it's ability to describe the conditions and circumstances of domestic vibrations. Domestic vibrations are symbolized by house numbers. A home is a mini reality and the energy vibrations in and around that home are described by the numbers that make up its address. The house number is both reflective and directive. It reflects a set of circumstances which exist in your life durint your residence there. It also directs many situations that may arise during the same time. So, the number of the house you choose to live in can, in many instances, describe conditions which exist in your life, and can help you in how to deal with these conditions or situations. It is important to remember that the house number d...

Herbs for Spring

Viable Options Blog
Spring is ready to be sprung along with the rest of us and with it will come lots of sneezing, watery eyes, poison ivy, poison oak, all the fun and exciting things opening up another new season. I never get tired of telling people to push the pre/and the probiotics to increase that friendly flora in your gut. It is your guts job to absorb the nutrients and then push it around to all the areas of your body, so help your body by decreasing the gas by building your friendly flora and move this waste out fast. Essential oils are awesomely great and if you know a distributor of either Young Living and or Do'terra please do not hesitate to give them a call and enlist them in easing your springtime sneezes. Cleaning your liver is a must. If you don't know Dr. Katie Waymer please look ...

Fun Facts About Easter

Viable Options Blog
Traditions are fun and I would like to share one with you. When my kids were small we would go out on Saturday before Easter and plant jelly beans and then the next day Easter morning they would run outside to find lollipops. Special decorated ones. It has been a favorite tradition till they grew out of it now I have the pleasure to watch them, even virtually, plant their jelly beans so carefully and then hear their squeals the next day when they find their special lollipops. If you have small ones, I will share my tradition with you, its alot of fun. Now for the rest of the fun facts...of April The term "April Fools" was probably meant as a deliberate stab at All Saints (November 1) and All Souls (November 2) Day. Although the origin of playing practical jokes and pranks on this...

What Your Body Requires To Fight A War and Then To Stay Healthy

Viable Options Blog
We really do not need any more doom and gloom predictions of any kind, however, we do need to know how to fight it if it comes knocking at our door. Our bodies have five (5) eliminating exits that must all be working well together to determine if we stay healthy and if we are able to fight the good fight. As a colon therapist for the past 30 years, I can honestly tell you most individuals have maybe 2 possibly 3 exits working. That leaves the other 2 working overtime and ready to wear out at any time. Let's go through the exits..... The Skin, this is your biggest eliminative organ. It eliminates toxins by sweating. It needs to be kept clean and the pores open for good elimination. If you are not pushing the toxins out via your pooh and or your pee, the skin will take on the ...

Foods That Make You Happy

The "gut-brain axis," as registered dietitian nutritionist Wesley Delbridge explains it, ties our digestive system to how we feel. "We’re realizing our gut talks to our brain and it can have huge effects on our mood and the emotions we experience," he said. "If your gut is happy, then you’re going to be more happy.” In 2008, UCLA researchers reviewed 160 studies about how food affects the brain and determined that a balanced diet, along with exercise, can beat back mental disorders. "Quite literally - we are what we eat," notes Dr. Aarti Gupta, founder and clinical director of TherapyNest, a California center specializing in anxiety and family therapy. This is a lengthy well worth reading article with great pictures just follow the link below The "gut-brain axis," as registe...

Coronavirus…..

I was going to post many links however after being once again on face book and seeing all the posts the factual ones and the “doom and gloom” we are all gonna die ones, everyone has read enough. So I will give you some information that is seriously lacking in all the other posts. While people are hoarding toilet paper, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes etc., no one is visiting the vitamin aisle that would truly help their bodies fight this virus, I continue to ask “WHY?” We have 5 exits of releasing the toxins that affect us on a daily basis, each day. 1. Our liver    2.   Our kidneys    3. Our lungs    4.  Our intestines and 5. Our skin On any given day most humans have 1 -2 eliminating systems working. Since we have five...
