What Does Linda Take On A Daily Basis…..and Why
Every so often a client or a friend will ask me what do you take every day?
Since I had major surgery in February clients are very interested in how I prepared for this coming event.
My surgery was booked in December for February so I had a few months to prepare my body for the
trauma that would ensue.
I really didn’t do anything more than anyone could or should do if they aren’t having emergency surgery
which would alter the time allowed to prepare. You can always ask someone at the health food store
that usually has someone designated to the herbal section, so what I am trying to say is you don’t have
to be a Master Herbalist to put a program together all you have to do is think about what areas are
going to be affected and build those areas.
Let me show you.
First the area that is being operated on….for me it was a full mouth restoration…I chose snap on
dentures which meant I would have all 26 teeth extracted, 8 titanium rods inserted and a grid going
across the rods for my forever teeth to be snapped onto. Right now I have what is called healing teeth,
they allow my gums to heal which has been a journey. Pureed food and a complete mindfulness that I
can’t chew and many changes to my body and face.
So first off I started to put into my daily program a supplement to help increase my bone health. My
gums had to be healthy and stay healthy to allow the rods to actually become part of my gum.
Next, my stress level had to be addressed….so I took extra adrenal support. This is something everyone
forgets about. If your body is being assaulted either from a health challenge or an operation your
adrenals need to be supported not only daily more so if you are being operated on. When these two
little organs that sit on top of your kidneys are fed properly you not only handle stress on a daily basis
better you sleep better. I always look under the eyes, if they have black circles I know the person is
fatigued …. The adrenals are not being fed and they will actually start to look for energy throughout your
body and you toss and turn and wake up more tired than when you went to bed. If you don’t have
enough adrenal support on a daily basis you will certainly deplete it all together on a health challenge
and or operation.
Next, my liver. I support my liver daily and I am very careful what comes into my life either emotionally
or with food or drink. Your liver has to clean anything you digest whether it is drink, drugs, food, stress,
thoughts and emotionally it is tied to anger, rage and resentment, something I do not have a luxury in
allowing into my life.
Lungs….both for the anesthesia and for any poison that could possibly get into my lungs via a tooth
extraction, since I was having 26 of them I made sure my lungs where built up and ready for the extra
work.
Heart….I have always supported this wonderful organ and ever more so now, Krill oil and every other
day an extra dose, after all it would have to work very hard before and after surgery.
It is very hard for me to take an antibiotic since I have life threatening reactions to so many of them.
However, they found one that I could tolerate and since I had to take only two of them an hour prior to
surgery it would not affect me as if I had to be on it for awhile. They also told me I would be given a pain
killer, Percocet…aka Oxycodone-Acetaminophen5-325. Since I haven’t taken drugs for about 25 years
this little pill sent me into a dimension only Stephen King could put into words. I took it for one day and
switched to my herbal pain killer Curophen PM…works like a charm and no side effects to liver, kidneys,
heart, just puts everything into balance and the pain is gone. Now my antibiotic, they cleared me for Oil
of Oregano and after 4 months of healing there is no sign of infection, hot spots nothing but healthy
tissue growing and gums looking fantastic.
I always take a hormone balancer that keeps me youthful and my bones strong.
I have for the last 2 years used Organifi a pea protein based protein drink with two additives, a fruit
powder in the morning for energy and balancing out the metabolism and a stabilizing powder for my
night shake that helps my body cleanse.
After the surgery I did a Liver/Gall Bladder flush to make sure I pulled all the anesthesia out and any gall
stones lurking around. One of my lifesavers has been Tumeric, I love to dance and now we are dancing more often so after a fun night of dancing I reach for my Tumeric capsule before going to bed, no soreness, just a nice restful sleep.
So it’s kinda all jumbled together however I keep everything built up and when I know, as in the surgery,
I do extra to make sure my body maintains a certain level of health. Remember it is always easier to
keep and maintain than to fix. I had years of fixing and I no longer want to do that.
It’s sad that the medical establishment and even the nurses and doctors attached to this dental
establishment did not know what to do with a 72-year woman with no prescription drugs for the last 30
years, no complaints and I must have by their estimation a slight case of dementia since I couldn’t
remember any of my medical histories…..so how did they deal with it….
They canceled the surgery that was set for February 4th and told me I had to have medical clearance. A
slight pull in the right direction and I was in to see an MD ASAP….blood pressure (better than any 20 year
old…his words) pulse, spot-on….EKG perfect…cognitive tests (he says he wishes he were that good) and
blood work was well within all the limits….so the only thing accomplished was a bill that medicare and
supplement didn’t cover….UGH!!!!
So what does that tell you…..if you have health challenges, full of prescription drugs and complaints
mounting.…you are good to go….sad isn’t it.
So there is my routine give or take an extra thing thrown in there for good measure.
Bottom line….support your body…..it works 24/7 365 days of the year and if you aren’t going to keep it
healthy trust me they aren’t going to keep it healthy….doctors treat symptoms that is what their
education is in….symptoms.
